
A top level delegation from the Leeds City Region attended MIPIM 2011, the international property convention, to promote the advantages and offer of the city region as one of the UK and Europe’s leading locations for business and investment.
Neil McLean, newly appointed chair of the Leeds City Region local enterprise partnership, headed up the delegation. A highly respected property lawyer, McLean is managing partner of DLA Piper, one of the UK’s leading law firms.

In one of his first major appearances in his new role, McLean set out the key role that local enterprise partnerships will play in creating a better environment for business and investment. He also highlighted how the Leeds City Region is leading the way in developing and strengthening partnerships between local authorities and business to drive forward regeneration and economic growth.
McLean was joined by senior decision makers from the public and private sectors in Leeds, Bradford and Wakefield, collaborating under the banner of‘Leeds City Region – growing together’ to promote flagship projects and investment opportunities across the city region.
